Suttons are a major player in the Seed and Garden Sundries market, enjoying excellent distribution amongst Garden Centres and Key DIY/Hardware outlets. Within the Sutton’s Sales Force the following opportunity has arisen:- Sales Executive Area Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Herts. Beds, Bucks, part Lincs Ideal location – Cambridge, M11 Corridor

Duties will include:

Calling on Independent Garden Centres, branches of Garden Centre Groups and some Independent Hardware/Gardening outlets, the successful candidate will be responsible for the achievement of monthly and annual targets by creative selling, stock management, new account development and effective merchandising. The Sales Executive for this established area will join the existing team and be expected to forge strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the customer base, both new and existing; maintaining the Suttons enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, whilst seeking to maximise all sales opportunities.

The successful applicant will:

Candidates should already have some experience of FMCG sales and sales techniques, and be able to demonstrate a good track record. Experience of selling within the Garden Centre market within these areas would be ideal but is by no means a pre- requisite.
Personal qualities sought include highly effective communication skills, smart in appearance, personable and educated preferably to at least A level standard. Some IT skills/ability would also be required (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Ultimately, preference will be given to those who demonstrate an ambition to succeed and to further their sales careers in the medium term.
