Which? Gardening 'Triple' Best Buy for Tomatoes F1 Tomato Lizzano, Tumbler & Red Alert (March 2012)

Suttons Seeds Tomatos 'F1 Lizzano', 'Tumbler' & 'Red Alert' were awarded a Which? Gardening Best Buy for their early cropping and good crop of sweet fruits. Lizzano particularly, showed to have a good spread and resisted some Blight.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Cornflower Classic Fantastic (Jan 2012)

Suttons Seeds Cornflower 'Classic Fantastic' was selected as a recommended variety.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Sweetcorn (July 2011)

Suttons Seeds ‘Swift’ Sweet Corn was awarded a Which? Gardening Best Buy for its early maturing, producing decent sized crops (180-230g) and having the best taste and sweetness. 19 varieties were tested and included many of the newest type of sweet corn (extra tender sweet varieties) and some of the latest super-sweet varieties.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Radish (June 2011)

Suttons Seeds Radish 'Jolly' was awarded a Which? Gardening Best Buy for its reliability and quick cropping. 14 Radish varieties were tested and were sown direct into the soil. It gave the largest number of small, uniform roots that remained crisp even after being left in the ground for a week longer than recommended.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Spring Onion (June 2011)

Suttons Seeds Spring Onion 'Apache' was awarded a Which? Gardening Best Buy for its quick and large cropping. 12 Spring Onion varieties were tested and were sown direct into the soil. The bulbs produced are bright red in colour and if left in the ground for longer they could be used in cooking.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Sweet Peppers (February 2011)

Suttons Seeds ‘Magno’ Grafted Sweet Pepper Plant was awarded a Which? Gardening Best Buy for having the highest ripe yield. Pitted against 18 other varieties, it was highly praised for its heavy crops and the superb quality of fruits produced.  

Which? Gardening Best Buy Seed Brand (October 2010)

The top ten seed brands were tested by Which? Gardening members and the top ten most popular vegetables and flower varieties assessed.  Scores were based on how well seeds germinated, the quality of the packet instructions and survey respondents’ ratings for variety, choice, descriptions and value for money, taken into account. Suttons Seeds was awarded Best Buy Seed brand!

Which? Gardening Best Buy SpeedyVeg (May 2010)

Consumer magazine Which? Gardening tested Suttons Seeds ‘SpeedyVeg’ to ensure these seeds live up to their name; and they did! Which? Gardening stated that Suttons Seeds SpeedyVeg is ‘Spot on’.

Which? Gardening Best Buy Tomato for Outdoor Growing (April 2010)

Suttons Seeds Tomato ‘Orkado F1’ came out top as the best outdoor growing tomato! The variety was subject to rigorous tests that determined its strength of flavour, texture and appearance, as well as the all important juiciness, skin thickness, colour and shape.

Which? Gardening Best Buy for Informative Packets (October 2009)

17 seed suppliers were tested, with Suttons Seeds coming out top for our impressively high seed germination and quality of instructions on packets. Suttons Seeds catalogue and website were also praised in the tests for their wealth of helpful advice and photographs.
